I absolutely love sailing with Disney Cruise Line! Their service is unbeatable, their entertainment is matchless and their food is outstanding. But, let’s face it, their prices are right in line with their superior cruising experiences.
Disney Cruise Line offers specialty dining options for adults at Palo (on all 4 ships) and Remy (Fantasy and Dream). Like most families, we work hard to save up for a Disney Cruise vacation and we try to save where we can. So, the idea of spending more money on “an adult fine dining experience” seemed a bit extravagant. It felt like something we could pass up, no need to spend more money on food when our meals are already covered, and we love the dining rooms aboard all of the Disney Cruise ships.
After constantly hearing about Palo, doing my own research and wanting to be the best travel professional I can be by giving my clients first-hand knowledge, I decided to work this experience into our schedule and budget during our cruise on Disney Magic. I will tell you right now, I was not disappointed by my choice and I will certainly plan for a Palo dining experience on every Disney Cruise vacation from now on!
Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island in the Bahamas and will prove to be a highlight of your Bahamian or Caribbean sailing. There are currently 23 port adventures available, ranging from tube and snorkel rentals to the amazing Sting Ray Encounter and Parasailing Adventure. Castaway Cay offers families a wonderful island beach day, and what better way to explore an island than on two wheels?!
For the young and young at heart, the anticipation of meeting a favorite character on their Disney vacation can make them simply giddy! Yes, Disney vacations are about family time, rides, great food and shows, but we all have our hopes set on meeting a special character and getting their autograph.
Characters appear throughout the Disney parks and ships, at certain restaurants and locations that can be found in your Times Guide or Personal Navigator. Other times, characters appear randomly.
Here are some important tips to remember about meeting characters and getting autographs:
One of the best parts of my job is finding that perfect gift for my clients! Autograph pillow cases are one of my favorites for a fantastic souvenir.

It is time to begin thinking about your 2014 travel plans and Disney has some very exciting events planned for you!

Here are some tips to help you make the most out of your vacation:

Why book a cruise 12-15 months out?
Are there any downsides to booking a cruise early?
I get these questions a lot. I am a planner by nature, so the very thought of waiting until the last minute to plan anything makes me jittery. However, I feel completely at ease planning well in advance for a major vacation like a Disney cruise.
Here are some reasons to make your cruise reservation early:
Have your kids ever found that one vacation souvenir they just had to have? When my girls saw the hair braiding stations aboard Disney’s Fantasy, they went nuts! “Mommy, can we get our hair done, pleeeease?!”
I hope you are enjoying the season as you prepare for time with family and friends during Thanksgiving. There are lots of amazing things happening with Disney Destinations, so let’s get started!

Magical moments abound on Disney Cruise ships! You can plan your sea days around the pools, kids’ clubs, spa treatments, fantastic live shows and character greetings. You will have thrills galore during your port excursions. However, some of the Disney magic is not listed on your Personal Navigator. This is the kind of magic that just happens to find you as you are soaking up the sun, in line for a free ice cream cone or playing a round of mini-golf.
